Difference between an obstetrician and a gynaecologist?

Both gynaecologists and obstetricians are qualified doctors who specialise in women's health.

An obstetrician deals principally with the management of pregnancy and childbirth.

A gynaecologist deals with disorders of the female reproductive system excluding matters relating to pregnancy.
